The Azadegan Christian Party of Iran was established in 2019 with the participation of Iranian Christians and the need for a Christian political party. In 2019, brainstorming sessions were held to select the founding members and the strategies for a Christian party, and this process took about a year.

The party’s charter and principles were drafted in 2020, and the structure of the party and the regulations of the working groups were finalized in 2021 and 2022. In 2022, the party was officially registered in Europe and began its activities.

The first board of directors election was held in September 2022, and the following members were elected as the first board members for two years:

In 2023 and 2024, the first board of directors began forming working groups and issued several political statements on various issues related to Iran.
On February 17, 2024, a large webinar was held with the participation of various parties and political organizations, where viewpoints were shared on different matters.

The second election for the board of directors of the Azadegan Christian Party of Iran was held in September 2024, and the following members were elected:

2. Deputy Secretary General: Rev. Noorollah (Stephen) Ghobeitizadeh
3. Spokesperson: Pastor Farshid Seyed Mehdi
4. Treasurer: Rev. Iman Bani Tahmasb

6. Rev. Vartan Avanesian
7. Dr. Tomaj Arian Kia
8. Dr. Sina Rahimi

The inspectors for this term are Dr. Sina Rahimi and Pastor Parviz Farzaneh.
The second board of directors will lead the party until September 2026.
